Founded in 2023 by Debra Avelar, Florecer Dance Studios prides itself in making cultural art accessible to underserved communities in San Jose, California.
FDS is co-owned by East Side San Jose natives Debra Avelar and Dean Veronica, 2 Latino, LGBTQ+ creatives with a passion for culture, art, and community.

Florecer Dance Studios strives to create a safe space for students from all walks of life to enjoy culturally rich performing arts classes. We seek to grow and nurture our community by remaining financially accessible, all while providing opportunities to inspire, create, and have fun.
