Debra Avelar

Ms. Debra received her bachelors degree in Dance in 2023 at San Francisco State University. Her dance experience began in 2008 with Ballet Folklorico Mexicano, and has continued to grow. With a passion for making art accessible to Latino, lower income communities, she founded FDS in 2024.

Co-Teacher / Administrator

Dean Veronica

he/him/his

Mr. Dean received his bachelors degree in Economics and English from the State University of New York: University at Albany. He's been dancing folklorico since the 3rd grade, and began dancing at FDS since its founding in 2024. Dean has since joined Debra as a co-owner of FDS to further his contribution to the arts and his community of East Side San Jose.
